On Dec. 20th Cate and Sean were married at the Old Mill in Toronto. It was a beautiful winter wedding - lots of snow and very cold. Cate, her Mom Patricia, and the girls made me feel very comfortable in the beautiful suite they had for the big day, where I was able to capture some candid shots before the ceremony. I met some great family members and friends and a fun DJ who is also a wicked magician named Arthur -owner of Maestro Entertainment Services (secan@sympatico.ca).

The Groenevelds
Sunday was a fun day, meeting Steve and Melanie's youngest boy Sam and his 3 bigger brothers Braden, Logan and Reid. I don't know how Steve and Mel do it, but they are doing an amazing job. The boys were on there best behaviour, we took a bunch of group shots, individual shots and I got to take pictures while the boys played, which is always a fun way to capture true expressions.

Lesley & Peter's Engagement
The engagement photo shoot turned out to be a bit colder then we expected. Peter & Leslie are getting married on Sept 19, 2009 at 4 Season Golf and Country Club in Claremont. We went down to Hayden Shores in Whibty to take some pictures by the lake. It was fun laughing with Peter and Leslie, and I think it came across in our photos.

Kids
When I went to take photos of Khol we all went up as a family to meet Easton's little brother. My kids, Beckham and Riley, wanted to takes some pictures with Easton. And Beckham really wanted to take a picture with baby Khol. I must admit the boy is great with babies and little kids in general- sure makes a dad proud. So Beckham asked Auntie Katie if he could hold Khol and have his pictures taken.
Kohl McCafferty
Last week I got to meet Khol McCafferty- the new arrival for parents Marty and Katie, and big brother Easton. Katie asked me to come over with hopes of capturing some of the same type of images we did for Easton when he was the same age. So we did some of the same photos we took with Easton, and some new ones including pictures of Easton with his little brother Kohl. Here are a couple of pictures of Kohl and his big brother Easton.

The Wedding of Marie and Philip Abbot
Saturday was the big day for Philip and Marie. I arrived at Marie's house for some photos and she was as calm and happy as could be. The weather was beautiful for a nice fall wedding. Once again I met some wonderful people, some beautiful families who dance all night to a great DJ named Ivan. Witnessed some first at a wedding with some customs such as breaking the bread, the pig dance and many other great Greek traditions. Here's a couple of my favorites of the happy bride and groom.

Tanya's Angels
I love my job. I have the great opportunity to meet wonderful people. I first met Tanya at one of the first weddings I shot for my friends; Jenn Smith and Jim Wraight. Shortly after Tanya asked if I would be interested in photographing her wedding to Dave Ayres. We have since become good friends, and I have had the joy of photographing Tanya, Dave and the boys Ethan and Johnny. So when Tanya asked me if I was interested in taking some head shots for her home based business- I jumped at the opportunity. As a guy I would say she cuts hair, but she does so much more than just cut hair. She has a great talent with womens hair, and even cosmetics as you can see in the pictures. So if you live in the Durham area or don't mind driving out to Courtice let me know.
Thanks to Kerri, Megan and Elaina for being great models.
The Wedding of Gillian Kirby and Dave Kip
Its always a great pleasure to be the photographer at a friends wedding. When Jill and Dave asked me to be the photographer I was excited. You couldn't find two people more on the same page, and a lot of fun too. When you are with them someone is always laughing :) Here are just a couple of photos from the day.

The Wedding of Kelly & Pat McReelis
First off thank you Mother Nature, Rain Gods or whoever was responsible for having the rain stop shortly after I arrived at Kelly's mom & dad house for our photos of the bride. Kelly was in great spirits, and I can't say enough how cute her grandparents are. The wedding was a great day going on without a hitch. The service was at Trafalgar Castle with young and old there to celebrate the wedding of Kelly & Pat. Thanks again for letting me enjoy this beautiful day with you. 8 -)

Engagement Photo's with Jill & Dave
This was a fun :) We met at Rotary Park in Ajax for the photo shoot. If there are two people that know each other, and know how to make each other laugh its Jill & Dave. I'm really looking forward to the wedding after the engagement shoot, and even more so when the couple are friends. The wedding will take place on September 27th at Dear Creek in Ajax and dance with my lovely wife after the photos are done for the night.

Engagement Photo's with Cate & Sean
Saturday was a great night to meet up with Cate & Sean for some engagement photos. I was still on an emotional high after attending one of my best friends wedding the night before. We hung out in the park for a couple of hours, talked about the upcoming wedding in December and took lots of photos. Cate & Sean where really easy going, Sean was showing off his artistic side and I thought I would share a couple photos of the great looking couple.

My Best Friend's Wedding
Yesterday was probably one of the most memorable weddings I have ever been a part of. Not only did I stand up for my best friend Tom in his wedding party but my wife also stood for her dear friend Kara as a bridesmaid. Tom and Kara met through us and yesterday was... well... words cannot express how great the day was so I thought I would share these two photos. The first is one of Tom as he opened a gift from Kara prior to the wedding and the second is a book that was also given to him from his future wife. The smile on his face says it all.

Ryan & Carolyn's Wedding Day
Mother Nature didn't cooperate much on this day, but that did not put a damper on this exciting day. Carolyn, Ryan, the families and friends where all in great spirits and the day was a huge success. Carolyn was one of the most relaxed and excited brides I have had the pleasure of shooting. Bubbly from the moment I arrived until I said good night.

The Wedding of James Rutherford and Becky Evans
Wow has the weather ever been crazy this summer. On the afternoon I arrived at Becky's house around 1pm on July 26 I couldn't see two cars in front of me with the dark skies and the pouring rain. Shortly after that rain storm and a full morning of rain weather gods gave us a beautiful sunny day. And other than the wet grass at the families beautiful home in Inisfil the day was perfect. The property was stunning! I was really excited about this wedding, as I am for all weddings I have the pleasure of attending. This was the first wedding where the bride and groom had scheduled to meet and take photos before the service. The moment that they first set eyes on each other was amazing, and the few minutes they had alone was priceless.
Keith Williams, Remax
We just recently sold my late mothers house, and our agent Keith Williams (who I would highly recommend), asked me if I would be interested in taking some pictures of his team. I never really understood why agents have there photo on business cards, however Keith said he wanted a little something different and not in a studio. So we went off to Cullen Gardens in Whitby, where there are some old heritage homes and one of my favorite places to take pictures in Whitby.
The Wedding of Ryan Lynch and Jennifer Jackson
July 19th has arrived. I went up to Jen's mothers beautiful home in Uxbridge to meet up with the girls and Jen's family. Then off to Whitby and my first wedding at the historical Trafalgar Castle, followed by the short trip to Oshawa and the newly renovated Jubilee Pavilion. Wow what a beautiful setting for all three locations. If only the weather would have cooperated a bit more.
