Stephanie & Eric July 17, 2011

 I had the pleasure yesterday of shooting the wedding of Stephanie and Eric.  Likely one of the most unique and creative couples I have ever had the pleasure of working with! The downtown Toronto wedding provided a lot of options to choose from for shooting locations from St. Jame's Park to The Old Fire Hall, home of the original Second City comedy company, to the Enoch Turner School House.  Did the weather cooperate?  Yes and no.  It was sunny and beautiful but it was hot and humid making the search for shade and a cool breeze a requirement at every site.  Overall the day, shared with a group of about 80 friends and family members, was really enjoyable.  Stephanie and Eric have an obvious chemistry which I was witness to repeatedly throughout the day as they would share quiet moments of conversation and then burst into laughter and when they were photographed kissing... they were really kissing... not just posing.

The Wedding of Michelle & Jeremy

 I had the good fortune of shooting the wedding of Michelle and Jeremy this past Sunday.  It was a first for me, as the wedding took place on a gorgeous yacht which casually sailed the Toronto harbour in the afternoon and evening.  Mother Nature was on our side as the skies cleared and the waters were calm (much like the Bride and Groom) so the backdrop of the Toronto skyline made for some nice shots.  The show was almost stolen though with Carly, Michelle's daughter, and her pretty smile and pink polka-dot dress. All eyes were on Michelle and Jeremy as they exchanged vows and enjoyed their reception with an intimate group of family and friends.  It was a really nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon and evening so I thank Michelle and Jeremy for giving me the opportunity to be a part of their special day.  Here are a few of my favorite shots.

The Wedding of Teri & Rob

Teri & Rob got married on July 9th at the picturesque Parkwood Estates in Oshawa.  The weather could not have been better; sunny, warm & beautiful.  I enjoyed a great day of shooting a fun & relaxed bridal party and family.  Here are just a couple of my favorite pictures from the day.

Whidden

I was introduced to Tracey and her family from a mutual friend Lesley.  Lesley you will see periodically in the blog with her husband Peter and daughter Sydney.   We met down at the lake and we spent some time laughing and taking pictures and I thought I would put up a couple of my favs.

E Session with a Family Twist

 I got together with Teri, her fiance Robert and their boys for an engagement session with a little family twist.  Teri and Robert are getting married in July and they have the most beautiful little family.  We met up at Valeyview Gardens in Oshawa for a quick set of family pictures, then Teri's mom and dad took the kids home for the night, while the three if us got to hang out and take some more pictures.  It was a lot of fun, I hadn't seen Teri since she was the Maid of Honor at Carolyn and Ryan's wedding.  It was a pleasure to meet her fiance Rob and the boys.  The boys couldn't sit very still for long, it was much more fun chasing grandpa around the flowers, and that is totally understandable.  We did get some fun shots of the family, and some great photos of Teri and Rob.  I hope you like some of my favorites.

The Wedding of Kervin & Tamica

On Friday I had the opportunity to take part in an extra special event.  The wedding of Kervin and Tamica was held at Nestleton Waters Inn which provided a picturesque backdrop for an outdoor wedding but also allowed for many personal touches given by the hands on staff.  Immediately following the wedding ceremony Kervin and Tamica chose to have their son, Ocean, dedicated to their faith in front of their friends and family.  Ocean, dressed perfectly for the big day of both having his parents get married but also to be dedicated, was unbelievably well behaved and offered up so many giggle filled smiles it made my job that much easier!  A horse drawn carriage brought Tamica, her Mom and Dad to the ceremony site and then brought Kervin and Tamica back to the front of the Inn afterwards.  It was a nice touch which added an extra flare to the day.  Overall the weather cooperated and I was able to share in a great even with a fun family.  Being a witness not only to Kervin and Tamica's wedding but also to Ocean's dedication was an experience I will not soon forget.

Leah III

Taking advantage of a sunny spring day I met up with a fantastic family of three; Carolyn, Ryan and Baby Leah in a park and take some pictures.  We've met repeatedly in the past few years ever since I had the pleasure of shooting Carolyn & Ryan's engagement shoot, wedding and and now their little tot. We have been meeting about every 3-4 months and will continue until Leah turns one at which time we will have a full years worth of photos to create a photo book of memories showing their little one grow from infant to little girl.  

 

 

 

I just love this picture, maybe not the best quality photos.  Leah kept getting closer and closer until she could see in the lens :)
