Leah III

Taking advantage of a sunny spring day I met up with a fantastic family of three; Carolyn, Ryan and Baby Leah in a park and take some pictures.  We've met repeatedly in the past few years ever since I had the pleasure of shooting Carolyn & Ryan's engagement shoot, wedding and and now their little tot. We have been meeting about every 3-4 months and will continue until Leah turns one at which time we will have a full years worth of photos to create a photo book of memories showing their little one grow from infant to little girl.

I just love this picture, maybe not the best quality photos.  Leah kept getting closer and closer until she could see in the lens :)
 Cheers, David

Clarington Thunder

Hockey Season has finally ended and we are now fully into soccer and other summer sports.  So I thought I would share some photos I took for my son Beckham's Hockey Team.  One I posted is because it's Beckham's favorite as he scored on a breakaway.  I love the photos however quality wise it's not the best. It's a little dark and I had to shoot through the protective glass.
Hope you like them.
Cheers, David

Catching Up

I'm a little behind in my blogging - my apologies!  I thought I would load a few pictures to show what I was up to while we were all cooped up in our houses over the long winter.

All the photos were taken in my home - a little re-arranging of furniture and bingo! We have ourselves a small studio.  And when working with little ones it helps to have toys from my kids to play with.  Everyone likes to play with new stuff.  I was happy to see many of my past brides visit with their little ones for some individual and family shots. Four of the kids are actually from my first year of shooting weddings  just before I decided to try my passion for photography professionally.

Cheers, David

E Session with Tamica & Kervin

The wedding season is now in full swing for me, and its an exciting time.  My first shoot for the week was with Tamica and Kervin who are getting married later this month at the Nestleton Waters Inn.  Its a beautiful place and I'm excited for the beautiful couple.

We met up at Rosetta McClain Gardens in Scarborough.  The park is not yet in full bloom but we took advantage of the beautiful and different suroundings in this little park.  We had a great time laughing lots, even if they laughted at me and not always with me, it was still fun.  And the best part was to see them glow in laughter and smiles that people would kill for.
So here are some of my favorites from the day, hope you like them.

 Thanks Tamica and Kervin

The Wedding of Kym & Justin

Wow what can I say..... I had the amazing experience of shooting the wedding of a very close friend of mine.  I`ve known Kym for 6 years and have had the good fortune of meeting and spending time with her now husband, Justin, quite a bit so their wedding day was extra special for me.  Being able to capture the special quiet private moments, such as Kym and Justin first seeing each other at the Fire Hall, is something I will never forget.
I started the day with Kym and her bridesmaids (a great group of really fun and supportive ladies) at her home and then moved to the Fire Hall to catch up with Justin and his buddies.  It was a lot of fun and what great props to work with!  The ceremony & reception was held at Madsen`s where Kym and Justin`s fairytale day continued well into the night.
I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend so much time with Kym and Justin during their wedding day.  I had a front row seat to everything and it was a day I know I will remember for a long, long time.  I had a great time and I hope the pictures reflect the spirit of the day.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Justin waits as Kym approaches him for the first time in her bridal dress.
Kym, looking fabulous just before the ceremony
Thanks to my 2nd shooter Shauna for capturing my favorite shot of the day.

Thanks again, David

I met up with Lisa, Doug and their son on Saturday for some photos.  What a good looking family, wonderful to spend time with them.  Matt's a handsom young man and kept everyone laughing and very much at ease.  We got lots of fun shots of Matt with his parents.  And I have posted a couple of my favorite shots of the day.

 Thanks Tanya

Engagement Session with Lindsay and Chris

Lindsay, Chris and I met on a wonderful fall day last Sunday.  We went up to Purple Woods in north Durham for some casual pictures amongst all the Maple trees.  You could see all trees set up for the Maple Fest next spring.  We had a great time, Chris and Lindsay are a very cute couple, very much in love and were up for anything.  So off we went through the park and looked for different backgrounds to express ourselves.  I had a lot of fun, I hope you like some of my favorites from our shoot.
Good luck running the Hamilton Marathon Lindsay :)

The Wedding of Matt & Laura

On October 2nd Matt & Laura tied the knot and enjoyed a perfect autumn day amongst family and friends.  A traditional church wedding was followed by pictures at Edward Gardens in Toronto.  The gardens allowed for a variety of photo opportunities with different settings all around.  Leaving the gardens we headed to the Crystal Fountains Banquet Hall in Markham for the fairy tale reception.  The venue was gorgeous and served as a great back drop for an evening full of love and laughter.  Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day.

Matt and his mom had a little bet if he would cry or not.  Can you guess who won?

Thanks again for a great day.
