Engagement Session with Derek and Jessica

This past Sunday I met up with a Derek and Jessica for an engagement session at Cullen Park in Whitby.  These are the grounds of the old Cullen Gardens and the miniature village most people from the Durham area I'm sure visited in the past.  We were able to take advantage of the different natural back drops such as the bridge and the different buildings on the grounds. We had a great time chatting and snapping some photos in between our talks.  They both have the most beautiful blue eyes, sorry as a guy with boring brown eyes I can't help but notice the beauty of the blue eyes.  Derrick and Jessica are a beautiful couple who I can tell love and care for each other deeply.

Thank again, cant wait for the wedding in March.

E Session with Tamica & Kervin

The wedding season is now in full swing for me, and its an exciting time.  My first shoot for the week was with Tamica and Kervin who are getting married later this month at the Nestleton Waters Inn.  Its a beautiful place and I'm excited for the beautiful couple.

We met up at Rosetta McClain Gardens in Scarborough.  The park is not yet in full bloom but we took advantage of the beautiful and different suroundings in this little park.  We had a great time laughing lots, even if they laughted at me and not always with me, it was still fun.  And the best part was to see them glow in laughter and smiles that people would kill for.
So here are some of my favorites from the day, hope you like them.

 Thanks Tamica and Kervin

Engagement Session with Chris, Joanne and MacKenzie

I met up with Chris and his fiance Joanne and her daughter MacKenzie for some photos at Rosetta McLain Gardens in Scarborough.  We had a lot of fun taking shots that late morning do jumping in and out of shelter as the rain came and went.  I thought the photo shoot would be the highlight of the day but I was wrong.  I learned something new this day, it was Step Fathers day for this soon to be family :)  The family let me know they went out for breakfast before meeting and Chris receiving gifts from MacKenzie.  Welcome to fatherhood Chris.  I posted a few of my favs, hope you like them and you can get a good sense of how much fun we had, and how beautiful the three of them are together.  I can't wait for the wedding in September.
Thanks again for a great time

Pat and Jessica's Engagement Session

I met up with Pat and Jess at a beautiful park in downtown Oshawa called Valleyview. This was my first time in the park and will not be my last. Who knew the "shwa" had such a beautiful park in the middle of the city. The session was a lot of fun and went by very quickly. I simply asked the couple to sit or stand in a place and just let them be themselves.... as much as you can be yourself knowing there's a guy holding a camera and a large zoom lens looking right at you.

I know that I usually like b&w photos over colour. But this time I loved the way the colour seemed to just pop on Jessica's shirt, that and both Pat and Jessica's eyes just brought that little something else to the shots.

Thank-you Pat & Jess for a fun evening!
Can't wait for the wedding- should be a lot of fun.

Monique & Ryan

What a beautiful winters day we had today. Monique, Ryan and I met in Bowmanville for some photos. We started at the north end of the Bowmanville Valley Conservation Area. We couldn't go too deep into the park since the snow was still a few feet deep. From there we took a brief walk into town as the midday sun was melting the snow and icicles from the sides of buildings. Here again are a few of my favorite photos from the day- I hope you like them.

Lesley & Peter's Engagement

The engagement photo shoot turned out to be a bit colder then we expected. Peter & Leslie are getting married on Sept 19, 2009 at 4 Season Golf and Country Club in Claremont. We went down to Hayden Shores in Whibty to take some pictures by the lake. It was fun laughing with Peter and Leslie, and I think it came across in our photos.

Engagement Photo's with Jill & Dave

This was a fun :) We met at Rotary Park in Ajax for the photo shoot. If there are two people that know each other, and know how to make each other laugh its Jill & Dave. I'm really looking forward to the wedding after the engagement shoot, and even more so when the couple are friends. The wedding will take place on September 27th at Dear Creek in Ajax and dance with my lovely wife after the photos are done for the night.

Engagement Photo's with Cate & Sean

Saturday was a great night to meet up with Cate & Sean for some engagement photos. I was still on an emotional high after attending one of my best friends wedding the night before. We hung out in the park for a couple of hours, talked about the upcoming wedding in December and took lots of photos. Cate & Sean where really easy going, Sean was showing off his artistic side and I thought I would share a couple photos of the great looking couple.
